Ever wanted to learn about or experience an Art Therapy process – either for professional development or personal growth? I am excited to be able to offer another 6-week group this spring 2014, titled, Personal or Professional Development (self-reflection) Art Therapy Group.
This experiential Art Therapy studio group is for professional growth and/or for personal process. The group includes spontaneous art making and focused directives for personal exploration, enhancing self-care and through exploration of art materials and art therapy techniques applicable to work with individuals and groups.
The facilitator will process artwork with each participant within the group. There will be opportunity through group discussion to review the art therapy process from different theoretical & therapeutic perspectives.
- To experience the art therapy process by exploring both spontaneous art or open ended art directives.
- To observe and integrate the application of art therapy theory as it is reflected in self-practice.
- To identify & examine significant issues & experiences in life from new perspectives.
- To explore the creative process for personal growth & insight.
