I am newly excited about Arts-based research. This year we will be challenging and challenged by students as they engage and come to understand the importance of research in new ways. I look forward to sharing more of these ideas in future blog entries.

At this time I want to share a link for Visual Research Methods and a film hosted by Susan Hogan about the topic. This is available through ‘YOutube’ and it describes a form of participatory research integrated with visual art to better understand  unique and common experiences of people living in particular communities. It outlines the importance of including skilled and well trained Art Therapists in the Process. For me this is inspiring.
